Rene Marie Russo was an American actress, director as well as a supermodel. Rose took part in various sports as a child such as basketball and kickboxing. at the age of 18, she made her professional debut for Invicta Fighting Championships in which she won two fights by submission. Dana White noticed this and when she was in December 2014 aged 22 she signed her for a fight as a strawweight with UFC. Rose was a high-flyer but her lows as well throughout her career, yet she has always come in the end on top. Rose fought Carla Esparza in April 2015 for the Women's Strawweight Championship. She won the fight via technical knockout in just 3 minutes in the initial round. It was the first time a woman competed to win a title in any major organization worldwide. Following this victory Namajunas went onto have several victories, including defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC after these wins .
